Bro. Dan Coe
Pastor

Dan Coe serves as senior pastor for First Baptist Alexandria. Dan is a native of Middle Tennessee. However, his ministry travels have included a multiple-year stint in the Middle East, where he served in church planting alongside his wife, Julia, and their four children. Dan surrendered his life to the Lord in 2005, and it wasn't long after that he began to sense a call to gospel ministry. Dan's ministry over the years has included College Ministry Leadership; Family Ministry Coordinator; work in halfway houses and jail ministries; and serving as a teaching elder of a church plant in Israel. Dan received his B.A. at Middle Tennessee State University and completed his graduate work at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (SEBTS). He is currently a student in the SEBTS Doctor of Ministry program. Dan's passions include reading,  running, Tennessee sports teams, and spending time outdoors with his family.

Among Dan's favorite Bible verses is Jeremiah 20, verse 9: "But if I say, 'I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name,' his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot."

My husband Roger and I moved to Alexandria less than a year ago.  We knew the first time we went to First Baptist that this is where the Lord wanted us to stay and serve.  I have a Master in Education and have worked with children's ministries for decades.  My husband and I felt the Lord leading me to serve as the Children's Ministry Coordinator at FBC.  My prayer and hope is that the children who walk through our doors will feel the love and sense of belonging that I feel and will come to grow in the Lord and develop a lifelong relationship with Him.
