We're thrilled to have Bro. Elijah Burns as our pastor! At just 23 years old, Bro. Elijah brings a deep passion for ministry and a heart devoted to serving others. He and his wife, Anna, are proud parents to their 1-year-old son, Roman, and are excited to join our church family. Bro. Elijah is currently completing his bachelor’s degree in theology at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, with plans to continue into a master’s program upon graduation.

 

Prior to coming to AFBC, he faithfully served as Youth Pastor at Family Church NOLA and was ordained in March 2024. Though early in his formal ministry, Bro. Elijah’s calling has been shaped by a lifetime of service and spiritual growth—especially as the son of a pastor.

 

In his free time, he enjoys cooking, hunting, fishing, collecting knives, golfing, and watching football. We look forward to the journey ahead and are grateful for the leadership and energy he brings to our church.
